BRUTTO it's a Creative Space for Dance where young or professional dancers, performers, movers, creatives and choreographers can publicly perform their ideas, and further develop their creations, making a first step into a new creative process. This initiative it's an annual opportunity realized from the collaboration between VIDAVÈ Company and PACTA Salone dei Teatri, and will be hosted during  the contemporary dance festival Apriamo Le Gabbie, curated by Elisabetta Miracoli and co-directed by Annig Raimondi which will happen every year around November. 

To participate to BRUTTO 2025 there is an open call to send the necessary materials, that will be open until 23:59 (CET) October 26th. The directors of VIDAVÈ will select a maximum of 5 creations/performances, each one of a maximum duration of 20 minutes, to participate November 15th at 20:00 (CET) at Serata VIDAVÈ, a mixed bill of dance performances at PACTA Salone dei Teatri, where also VIDAVÈ Company will present a new creation in form of an open studio restitution. The evening will be open to public, the tickets will be available for purchase online or at PACTA Salone dei Teatri box offices. To the selected participants will be offered:

- tutoring on choreography via a 45-minute video call with Noemi Dalla Vecchia and Matteo Vignali, between November 2nd and 10th;

- technical assistance and a 60-minute rehearsal space for lighting, set, sound, costume, and choreography with Stefano Tirantello, technical director of PACTA Salone dei Teatri, on November 15th, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., according to a schedule made by VIDAVÈ;

- a fixed-frame, continuous-recording video with a reflex camera of their creation by Fulvio Michelazzi, photographer, director, and general director of PACTA Salone dei Teatri, exclusively during the performance on November 15th.

Travel, food, and accommodation expenses are responsibility of the selected candidates.

There is no performance fee.

If you want to participate to the open call, send before 23:59 (CET) October 26th 2025 those requested materials to vidavecompany@gmail.com:

- CV of the creative artist or group applying (single PDF);

- Detailed description of the artistic project, including an explanation of the hypothetical performance outcome, also with photos and/or moodboard if available (single PDF);

- Brief description of the stage design, lighting design, and other technical requirements. Requests will be analyzed by VIDAVÈ and the technical team, and in case they are too much complex or not suitable for the theater's availability, they'll be modified (single PDF);

- Videos of the work, under penalty of exclusion from the selection process, including excerpts and/or rehearsals, via Vimeo, YouTube, or other platforms (online URL link).​

Only the selected participants will be notified via email, before October 31st.
